The Vigero pulls up Joliet Ave. next to the apartment complex and parks. Max, Joey, and Lola all get out of the car. Lola goes over to the door of the building and holds it open while Max and Joey open the trunk of the car and pull out a long rectangular box. They close the trunk and then together they carry the box through the door, followed by Lola. The three of them go up the stairs to the top floor and over to the door of the apartment. Lola opens the door and holds it while Max and Joey carry the box through. Lola then closes and locks the door and goes to the living room and sits down on the couch.
Max and Joey sit the box down on the floor and open it to show the new flatscreen LCD TV they just bought. They attach it to the stand that came with it and then get all the wires attached where they need to be and sit it on the entertainment center in front of the couch against the wall. They get the cable wire attached and then sit on the couch with Lola. Max has the remote in his hand and points it at the screen and turns it on. Then he starts flipping through channels. He comes to CNT which is playing an episode of "I'm Rich".
"Oooh, I love this show. Let me watch."
"That's cool. Joey and I have some serious shit to discuss."
"We do?"
"Yeah. So we're gonna be over here in the other room. Lola, you just chill here and make sure the TV works. Make sure we get all the channels and stuff. Here's the remote."
Max hands Lola the remote and then he and Joey go into Max's room and talk.
"So, what do we need to discuss?"
Max goes over to his nightstand and opens the drawer. He grabs the two pieces of paper from before, the note and the code. He hands them to Joey.
"I found these with our guns, hidden in the bedrooms. What do you make of it?"
"Looks like a coded message and the code we need to decode it."
"How long do ya think it'd take us to decode it?"
"Well, if we work on it together, probably not too long."
"Good. I don't really know why, but I have this feeling that if we decode this message, we might find something that could help us out."
"Buried treasure?"
"I doubt that. But something."
"Kay. So when are we doin' this?"
"I dunno. We need to get Lola outta here. I don't want her to know about this."
"So let's go take 'er home."
They go back out to Lola in the living room.
"How's the TV workin'?"
"Just fine. Crystal clear, every channel."
"Good. Hey, are you ready to go home? You must be hungry."
"Yeah. I could definitely use to eat."
"We'll take ya home then."
The three of them leave the apartment building and jump into the Vigero and Max drives them back across the East Borough Bridge.
